Default ProCharger Developing 2011 5.0L Supercharger System

Ford's notable success with supercharged rides like the GT500 and Gen. 2 Lightning's are proof in the pudding that Ford fanatics love a little boost on their daily drivers and heck, who wouldn't? Well, when your factory muscle car is looking for that boost craving, anyone owning a Mustang all the way back to an '86 model has been able to turn to ProCharger for all their supercharging needs. As a bunch of shops and teams were improving their N/A 2011 Mustang's with bolt-ons and suspension mods, or even nitrous, ProCharger has been at work to do what they do best - develop a easy to install supercharger kit for the 2011 Mustang 5.0.

Checkout the ProCharger Blog for updates as developments progress rapidly.

If you've been paying a bit of attention to the 2011's spec sheet, you might be wondering just how they're going to keep a supercharged car pump gas friendly and streetable with 11:1 compression out of the box. In the 'old days' of grassroots pushrod engines, it'd just be out of the realm of possibility without some serious internal work, but with the 2011 5.0's all forged internals, and variable camshaft timing, ProCharger is confident they wont have to make any compromises to suit this system.

Procharger's test specimen 2011 GT

Noted as one of the best-selling air-to-air intercooled supercharger systems ever, we're pretty sure once ProCharger releases this kit with some horsepower figures to go with it, there's going to be an order list out the door for these kits. The horsepower and boost figures are an unknown at this point, but there's no doubt that 500-plus-horsepower is what they're shooting for. When 412 isn't enough, that 500-plus just sounds so much better, doesn't it? Even better yet, ProCharger says that if you're one that doesn't like to wait, and want to get your name on the list for more information when it's available, you can set this up via their customer service at 913-338-2886. We'll be keeping our eyes peeled for when this kit shows up on their Ford supercharger systems page.
