Exclamation Another EXTREMELY happy Driveline Solutions client!!!!!

Well, I just got back from Scott's (1bad86z) house after doing my IRS to Solid swap and new gear install, and let me tell you, that guiy knows his shit! There was no that I would have been able to do this job without him. The guy is a true professional and a definate master at his trade. I had 4.10's in my IRS and there was no way that I was going to go with the stock GT gear that was in the axle of the donor car. (I believe it was 3.55's) Scott supplied the gear, and all the necessary tools to get the job done, and done right. There is no play what so ever in the rear end and the 4.10's sound pin drop quiet...even at high speeds.

I got to Scott's house this morning at 9am and we started working almost right away. We had an hour + wait for the guy with the donor axle and we were completely done with the swap and new gear install by 3pm...maybe a few minutes earlier. Like any good mechanic he went for a ride with me in my car to verify that everything was 100% before I left his house.

Scott, thanks a million for the swap, the new gears, the install of the gears, and the VERY fair pricing you gave me. As I have already done in the past, I will continue to send more and more people in need of driveline work your way. Now I have 1st had experience of your work, and I couldn't be happier. Everything that I was told about you and your work is true.

THANKS AGAIN!!!

Also, thanks to orangejuiced86 for the very fair deal on the nearly new Upper Control Arms he sold me.

I'm still looking for some nice, aftermarket LCA's if any of you are looking to sell a pair. (we put the stock ones on so that we could get the job done today)

I think I'll wait for some 31 spline axles, welded axle tubes, and some nice LCA's before I start spraying on launch...or maybe not.

I have to be honest though, it's nice to get that 300+ lb IRS Gorilla off my back. I turned down quite a few races because I was scared of breaking some shit on that hunk of crap. To this day I have never left harder than 2K on that IRS...I was too scared.

The only driving I've done on it is the drive from Scotts house to mine. (10 to 94, 94 to little mack, little mack to 13) And I can say that I like the way it rides. I have no complaints at all. After the gear break in period I'll run a few races and take it around some fast twisties and get back to you on that. But so far, me likes!!

Good deal Al....you won't regret it.

My impression is that with the solid axle it feels like the car is sitting on top the axle....it feels the way a muscle car should. With the IRS you always felt like the axle was kind of in the car....only way I can describe it. The IRS soaked up the bumps but you never good go crazy with it.

Yeah, I was going to say "you'd be stupid to go elsewhere" but people always interprept my posts wrong and they often take offense...so I went with "silly."
