Yeah. They were both buddies. My one buddy with the mustang had headers, h-pipe, mufflers? CAI, tune and maybe some pullies.... We've been wolfing back and forth for a while. He added the exhaust stuff right before this event I think. It was sweet justice whooping his arse after the arse kicking he gave me in his other car a few months back ---
It was a good time!

My tow rig/DD '03 Lightning. It does a decent job of pulling my 20' enclosed trailer.

Nice ride! I always wanted one of those but wouldn't because of my kids (standard cab). Not too crazy about the HD trucks, but I love those lightnings. Ever run it?

Thanks, 13.4 @ 102 totally stock. I've since added 4lb. lower pulley, custom SCT X3 Tune, Bassani catback and a modified valve body. I'm trying to get in one more trip to the track before the end of the season. Judging by the “seat of pants meter” I’m pretty sure in cool air it will go mid-high 12s (that’s if it hooks ).
We have a kid on the way (will be here in 5 weeks), and the first thing I did was make sure I could fit baby seat in the middle. So as long as we only have one the truck will be around for a while .

Those are neat trucks. I have two boys so it was out of the question for me. Have you done anything to the suspension? I dig those trucks lowered a little, some performance mods, maybe some tint. Sweet ass rides!

Eibach pro-kit, but the back is still not low enough. I'm going to change out the rear shackles to lower it another 2".

Hard to tell in the pics, but I like the way it sits now. A little rake, plus it has some travel if you throw some junk in the back or put a heavy trailer on.

Got it into the 12's today despite a 15 mph headwind. Did it on stock tires in total street trim, I went right from the gate to the staging lanes. I'm pretty stoked that I did with less than $900 worth of bolt-ons. Now I just need to get a bumper sticker made for the stang that says "my tow vehicle will kick your ass too" LOL.

Wow, those respond very well to minimal mods. Impressive!
