Car looks good johnny. You got more patience than me I hate doing tin work. I like what you did under the bottom by the rear bumper. I plan on doing mine the same way. Where did you get the rod for the weight. Is that just the ends cut off a weight bar.

ya i bought a dumbell bar from dunhams and had rich cut it in half and weld plates on the end. then welded them to the floor. i had them in there all last year and they work well. just stack reg weight plates and make it work. when i ran that outlaw 8.5 class i had to add like 500lbs so i had 4posts 2 in truck and 2 in backseat area.

I have been thinking about that but wasnt sure the weld would hold. I was thinking the chrome plating would cause a problem.

you grind the chrome plating off.
