Default Corvette Z07 Rumored to Get Twin-Turbo 4.5-L. V8

Rumor has it that the Chevrolet Corvette will benefit from the Cadillac Elmiraj concept’s 4.5-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine with an estimated 500 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque.

That V8 powerplant could be what will power the Z06′s successor, rumored to be called the Z07. And while we’ve heard these rumors before, it is now believed that the powerplant will push closer to 600 hp in the Corvette Z07.

Meanwhile, it is also rumored that the Cadillac flagship will arrive in sedan form by 2016, influenced by the Elmiraj concept. The sedan will be available with a 3.0-liter turbo V6 in addition to the 3.6-liter turbo V6 which currently produces 420 hp in the CTS Vsport.
