Another Project has joined the family

Well, my nephew found this '67 Malibu sitting in a friends garage, its been there for 8 years, sat somewhere else for 4 years before that, was brought up from Alabama back in 1993. All the parts are there, lots of GM NOS stuff(moldings, interior, trim, grilles) still in boxes. Original 283 under the hood with a 4 speed. So my brother bought it.

Its got a complete, new, black interior including head liner and carpet, bodys a little dinged up, but no major damage or rot. So it'll go to the stripper first, and then to my buddys house for body and paint. Then probably my house for reassembly. He's gonna keep the 283 for now, but were gonna start looking for a BigBlock. It came with extra parts to sell too!

No, this whole deal just started about 4 weeks ago. The girl(my nephews friend), mentioned one day that there was an old chevy in the garage that belonged to her uncle, and her mom and dad were tired of it sitting there. So the process began.

That's the best wayto find good deals-through other people. I know I've found some killer deals like that.

Hey keep the 4 speed and 283. Can you say high winding solid flat tapped cam tunnel rammed 283 with a muncie and 4.10's or 4.56's? I think that would be cooler than the big block. It wouldn't be as fast as a built big block, but hey it's all in what you plan on doing with the car.

He wants a nice driver, so the BB would make more sense, more power from a tamer package. That 283 is goin in a bag in the corner, its numbers matching.

There were quite a few 66 and 67's at the Gratiot cruise, my brother was goin nuts, he cant wait to get it done, but its gonna take a while. He'll probably be able to drive it by the end of the summer, but its not gonna be turnin alot of heads.
