Suggestions on a cage ? Fox body
 

I am going to be moving myself into a different car sooner or later and plan to start with a clean slate. I have been working on my tig welding skills and find I am actually decent at it. I have been looking at the Wolfe kits (10 pt.) but want to also go through the firewall to the strut tower and the tower to the rail near the support. I am also looking at the Wolfe through floor subframe connectors. < opinions ?

I just want the satisfaction of building something from the ground up myself. I have done just about everything that can be done on a car just not all on the same car. Now having access to a machine shop and all the tools to build just about anything is a plus. I think this will be a good project to occupy my time for a year or more.

Off topic, but do you have all your tools and a van? I know a guy who can throw you some work here and there.

Not my van but I can use the companies stuff if needed. My boss is a good friend and lets me use all his equipment when it is available. Any work you get thrown my way "I WILL GIVE YOU SOME KICKBACK ON" ,depending on the job it usually at least 10% after parts...

My family would really appreciate it..

i like it when the bars that go up front are under the fender. skinny kid does it like that too. you cant see them wiht the hood open. engine bay is alot cleaner

I never thought of doing it that way, I guess that would make more sense. I really wanted to do a whole chassis car, i am not sure I would have the patience.....

If you use the wolfe kit, don't use their frame ties. Use the through the floor ones that go ALL the way up, not just to the front rail. That way the cage can be converted to be 25.5 in the future if need be.

i think team z sells them like that.

I still want to do a full tube chassis, I just have to get the balls to do it. I am sure I can do it but don't want to be down for more than a couple years...
