Got my Cylindr Heads Back!!

Finally can start putting it together now that the piston doesn't hit the bottom of the head. Had to take the shortblock & the heads to a local shop to have them fix it. Just happy now I can start getting it back together-finally!

My bad. Meant to say the piston hit the bottom of the head. Found this out after I tried turning the motor over and it just stopped. The shop and to grind the chamber to match the contour of the pistons due to the large dome on the piston. It's hard to tell but there was A LOT of grinding that had to be done. I guess it's just the cost of having custom pistons.

Ouch

Damn that sucks i know iv'e had the block in and out of the shop 3 times now. 1st time was just the normal machining of coarse. Put the motor together and the 2 rods bumped the cam lobe. So it went back let him fit it all up. Next thing before we got the run the car on nitrous my dad goes and buys a blower. Now we just got it back after having to order a new blower cam had to have the springs on the heads changed out because it would have bound up receiver grooves cut in the heads and had the block O-ringed. Just waiting on the copper gaskets to come in from SCE and we should be good to go.

I've learned there this is no thing as a bolt on-especially when dealing with custom parts!
