What's the story behind the turbos?? Seems like a lot of turbage for a mod motor to spool.

Thanks. I really started to like the Mod motor with my other car just from a cost stand point. Being able to use Stock heads and blocks also makes breakage so much less of a concern, if I was to destroy a Dart block or Blue Thunder heads I would have been done for a year or more. What is this battle of the drop tops?
The turbo's are big for the motor but Bullseye thinks they will work. The nice part about the turbo's on the car is that they can be made from 62mm to soon to be 83mm all with in the same frame.

WOW!!!! That is SWEET!! Is the car being built for a certin class (ie. 10.5 outlaw)? When should we expect to see it run?
Stenod, awsome work, but then again I have never seen any bad work from you.

It nothing special at all. It is a teksid 4.6 block based deal, 3.750 crank, eagle rods, diamond pistons. I actualy spent most of the weekend drawing up a girdle assembly to be cnc'd and thing of a couple other ideas for block strenth. After I basicly lost the engine in my other car do to block distorion I am more or less tring to build the first one cheap and see if I have taken care of all of the issues before I put a bunch of nice parts in it. I have not even decided who I am going to use for cylinder heads yet. I am still tring to get over the price on the Data acquisition systems. I was thinking that buying the system itself would be the big deal but the sensors are insane. I think I did finaly find a system that fits all my needs but is affordable.

Are you using an aluminum block? Because I thought the iron blocks were good for a shitload of power? I'm not familiar with the teksid block. I'm kind of out of the loop with mod motor technology.

It is the early aluminum block. The iron block and this block in stock from are good to about the same power. Everyone says 1000rwhp which I think is bull but what do I know. I had a ton of cap chatter and the bores were out of round to the point that there was spots of the bore that were worn .020 and other spots looked brand new. The only blocks that will handle this kind of power in stock form are the GT and SHM or World blocks. SHM and World blocks are the olny other options to what I am doing that are available in a 4.6 deck height but they are over $5000 I belive. The girdle and most of the rest of the custom parts will be transferable from block to block.

Are you sure your other car wasn't rattling? I read that Mihovitz said that they only do that when you rattle them? Regardless, I can't wait to see that thing on the track. That's a mean looking car.
