Your agent got word of some of the happenings at Qatar Racing Club during Wednesday’s test session, and he certainly came away impressed. It seems as if more and more drivers are starting to get the hang of the track, which means for some incredible Round 2 action in the Arabian Drag Racing League.Of course, that takes place Thursday and Friday in Qatar, but Wednesday’s test session yielded some pretty strong numbers.First, Frankie Taylor continues to impress in testing sessions, running a 3.62 at 209 miles per hour. Behind him was J.R. Todd and Von Smith, both of whom went a 3.70. That’s especially good news for Smith, who struggled mightily in the first race and didn’t end up qualifying. Todd, though, came back later and went an incredible 3.67, proving he’s quickly gotten the hang of these PX machines. Mike Stawicki went 3.73 at 204 mph. Another good - and much-needed run - came from Wes Johnston (pictured), as he went 3.71 at 203 mph. Johnston had struggled even more than Smith, but saw some encouraging signs with that run. In Pro Nitrous, Khalid Al-Balooshi grabbed everyone’s attention after going 3.88. Al-Balooshi lost to eventual PN winner Khaled Mohammed on a holeshot in Round 1, but he certainly looks to have his car in order. Burton Auxier, the 2010 PN World Champion in the ADRL, went 3.95.In Pro Extreme Motorcycle, Terry Schweigert continued to be the headline-grabber, going 4.15 during his testing session. Nobody else has been able to get close to Schweigert in Qatar as he looks to make it two straight wins. Remember, qualifying starts on Thursday with eliminations for Round 2 set to begin on Friday.http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ADRLAgent660/~4/R4v4RXeABOg
