Your agent is sending prayers, well wishes and his thoughts to Charles Carpenter, his family and, more specifically, his wife during what is an unfortunate and extremely difficult time.Carpenter’s wonderful wife, Terry, suffered a stroke on October 3. The drug used for treatment of the stroke produced an adverse side effect, causing hemorrhaging in the brain. She has been unconscious since that time and is currently in intensive care.“We’re facing the toughest thing we ever have in our lives,” Charles said. “You just don’t know what tomorrow promises at this point.“We’re just waiting and hoping. It’s been a really tough and trying time for us. She is definitely the backbone of my life. My son gave her the title of being a life helper and that’s what she is.”Charles and Terry have been married for 30 years. For those interested in viewing Terry’s progress or sending their own personal message to the family, Charles urged everyone to go to www.caringbridge.org, click on VISIT and type in Terry Carpenter. Her progress and hospital address is posted on the website, along with a daily journal. People can also post words of encouragement, which Charles said means a lot during this trying time.“It makes you feel good to see those messages and those really help,” Carpenter said. “All I can ask for is hope and prayers. That’s the only thing that can save her right now.”The outpouring of support from the racing and ADRL community has also touched Carpenter.“I’ve gotten a lot of nice calls and warm wishes from a lot of drivers and I really appreciate that very much,” Carpenter said.As a result of all of this, Carpenter will understandably not be participating in this weekend’s LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals VI. Carpenter was the No. 6 qualifier in Pro Nitrous in the Speedtech “Battle For The Belts.”But being with his wife and family through this process is by far the much bigger priority.“This is far more important than any race in my life,” Carpenter said.Your agent agrees wholeheartedly with that and on behalf of the entire ADRL, he again sends his prayers and best wishes to the entire family and to Terry, and is hopeful for a full recovery. To send words of encouragement: www.caringbridge.org/visit/TerryCarpenterhttp://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ADRLAgent660/~4/WtCBhC3KFoI
