With the entire Al-Anabi Racing team in town for the ADRL Hardee’s Gateway Drags III event this weekend, your agent noticed plenty of significant faces in the Al-Anabi crowd. ?Nothing summed that up better than the above picture your agent saw. It features, from left to right, Al-Anabi Funny Car driver Del Worsham, drag racing legend Frank Manzo, Pro Extreme standout KH Al-Thani and drag racing superstar Larry Dixon. ?Manzo, of course, is Al-Thani’s crew chief and worked wonders on Friday with Al-Thani’s ‘68 Camaro, helping Al-Thani to a win in the Independence Drags.?Al-Thani told your agent he was just as happy that his entire team was on hand to witness the memorable night, which included a terrific 3.66 pass at 208 miles per hour in the finals. ?Your agent also saw Worsham and Dixon were both excited to see Al-Thani in action.Dixon was impressed with Al-Thani’s performance, which included track records in both E.T. and speed.?“This was awesome,” said Dixon, who races an Al-Anabi Top Fuel car. “KH hosts a hell of an event. To get to come here and be a fan and with KH racing, it’s someone we can cheer for. With all of the team here, it’s been over the top. ?“The racing was great. To make five great runs, it was unbelievable to see.”Your agent also took note of Worsham and Dixon enjoying themselves a great deal at the ADRL event. Perhaps we’ll see them behind the wheel of an ADRL doorslammer in the near future. With the way the ADRL is growing, your agent wouldn’t be shocked. On one last note, your agent was also happy to see Funny Car driver Tony Pedregon enjoying the ADRL race as well at Gateway last weekend. He looked to be having a great time and was personable with everyone. Great times!(Photos by ADRL/Richards.
