Would anyone be interested in having a fund-raiser/charity event to raise money for Detroit Racing and a charity of our choice? One of my friends that runs Excentricksportbikes.com is having a fundraiser/charity event and I figured maybe we could join in on the fun and raising a couple bucks for the site. If anyone is interested let me know by either posting or P.M.ing me....also Lisa if you think this might be a good idea let me know and I'll set you up with the guy running it.

Yeah, I've met Donnie.

About the fundraising/charity event though - I'm not sure that us joining in someone else's event like that would be right....I can't see someone being happy about another club just jumping in on their thing. Plus, I'm not sure that is something we could even do legally...it's not like we're registered as a non-profit org yet like some other clubs. I'd have to talk to my attorneys.

Anyways, it's an idea for the future. It would be nice to hook both clubs up, but I think a picnic or a track day would be more suitable. I've talked with Donnie about it a while back, but we just never set something in stone yet.

:dunno:
