Well project is definitely on. Doing a stock rebuild to get my power back for now. Ordered the kit from summit plus an oil pump. Took off the hood and started disconnecting wires :bna: Outta be fun to put back together though :rolleyes: Thank god for sharpie markers, duct tape, and ziplock bags :lol:

Exactly how ya do it, label everything, and take lots of pictures(digital or poloroid), so you dont have to remember where everything goes. Try to remove things in assemblies, instead of unbolting every little part, ie, upper intake and Tb+inlet hose. Accesories still attached to brackets if possible. Get the fan and radiator out of the way first, so nothing bumps it and puts a hole in it. Ive got the spring lock tools if you dont have those available(for releasing fuel and A/C lines)

And spray a lot of PB Blaster or GM Heat valve lubricant on all your exhaust connections.

yeah luckily his exhaust has been off about 3 times in the last year or so it should be that bad.. :D

but tomorrow night we plan on making a big push on it..hopefully get all the radiator/fan out and the front Accessories :D

Yes can i borrow them? I dont have those tools and i'm sure i'll need them :cool:

man pulling his motor just makes me appreciate how easy it is to pull a motor with a Carb instead of EFI :eek: :lol:

i mean damn there has to be like 5 miles of wire in that engine compartment alone..on my car there only like 4 wires going to the motor besides the plug wires.lol oil and temp sending unit, Ignition wire and my Tach wire.. :lol:

Alright, it's gonna be a slow process :eek:

Radiator, Headers and a few things are off the front of the motor.
Tomorrow Jim and I :lol: are gonna tackle the fuel lines, and stuff like that :bna:
