So were all pissed about higher gas costs, maybe this will make it easier to accept. A top fueler gets approximately 20 gallons per mile. Yes, 20 GPM, not MPG. At $30 per gallon, it costs a TopFuel team over $600 to travel a mile
Now, doesnt that make you feel better.
Me, neither.

Actually more than that, because of the warm up and burn out, they use about 7-8 gallons, so its about $2-250 per run.

My DD has the trip/monitor computer on it. That Supercharged 3800 is averaging 15mpg city and 23-25 eway. If you run it up to 80mph and get off the throttle, the instant economy function reads as high a 98mpg. lol

City of Wayne + Car in driveway taking apart = City wanting to write ticket for $100 because I did not buy a permit to work on my own car. So now she sits in the back yard, taken apart and now I got to find another place to get her done.

You can thank one of your neighbors for that, someone must have complained about you. City ordinances are getting worse because of people leaving cars in the driveway tore apart for months. But they usually dont do anything unless someone complains.

Feel free to kick one of your neighbors in the ass for all the problems. That's why I love livin' out here in the sticks!!

i tore apart 2 taurus's in the top of my driveway down to barely nothing and left one on jackstands for months and no one complained. For the past 2 spring/summers i have had cars apart or worked on them till wee hours in the morning. I have even had the aircompressor in my garage on at 3 in the morning last summer on a saturday night. :D
