I'm trying to get an estimate of how fast some of our cars are or have gone.
Mine hasn't been to the track yet, but I'll hope for low 14's-high 13's... (I'm nicknaming it "Poser" )

12.2 at 118 I think....was having tranny or clutch issues. It didn't want to shift to second after leaving the lights hard. New Viper tranny. 1.7 60ft.
Was told to get a firewall adjuster so we will see if that fixes the issue.

You need to take it to the track....it's very humbling. No guessing. I don't think you will see 93mph in the traps. No offense.
Crazzy Al....same for you. No time slips from past owners or what you THINK it will do. I'd bet Al sees about 104mph.

He does have a big pile of weight in the back so you never know.....
Now if he's on the juice (I think he's still waiting to install) then you are toast....unless he SHATTERS one of those weak 28 spline 1/2 shafts on his Cobra.

I trap at around 103.5-104.5 with my car so I would imagine Al would have me beat...

Official ETs are in the Showroom. Unofficially, I fully expect to be mid to low 11's N/A, and I want to see if I can get the LuxoBarge to crack a 14.99 without alot of mods, its still a DD

To add to this post, whats everybodys best R/T, and what is you average. On a standard 3 bulb .500 tree, I've had a best R/T of .008, and I average probably in the .050 range.
On a amusement ride out in California(real dragsters, but on a rail, and you only go 150ft), I scored a .000092 light, but I also had 2 reds, and 2 .100's. It was five runs for 25 or 30 dollars

I was cutting 2.02ish's with my 89 stang 5 spd... when I had it... my best slip with that was 14.84@94
with the Z... my best to date is a 13.18 @ 105 with a 1.96 60ft on shitty tires... also this was with a shitty converter/slightly slipping trans and a shitty homemade tune for the cam

I have a new trans from ford that needs to go in my car, but it was damaged in shipping(i think) (the plastic cover on the output shaft was crushed pretty bad when i recieved the trans)It is in gear and wont budge.....(hopfully somthing easy to fix)
Also my trans thats in the car is losing second gear, and Could probably be re-built and sold......

I have no problems with you, but when someone goes on a website with quick cars looking to run for money and talks shit then backs out, has alot to prove. Now the car may be real it may not??? to me its not until proven wrong. So please do and I will go on with my life :D

Seriously, thats the best I have been able to get. If launch any harder I sit at the beams and burn the damn tires. Granted thats on a set of 17" DR's that I do not heat up all that much.
I think I could have hit 11's but oh well, I will just have to try again this year.

with a hook, u should get mid 11's, try a little more heat/less air in the tires, or get a taller side wall and you should get into the high 11's without haveing to worry to much about breaking anything.

Remember, too, the rollbar rule has changed for this year. IHRA or NHRA saftey rules now allow a hard top car to run 11.50 with out a rollbar, quicker than 11.50 and you need a 6 point(swing outs allowed)

Milan,Norwalk and most tracks ran by that rule last year..still no help for me.
Also, over 135 you need 7.5 sec cert cage. :naughty:

Yep, IHRA always had the better rule, NHRA finally decided to match it.
For you newer guys posting #'s, go to the Showroom Forum and post your times in the ET sticky to get on the DR list. Only rule, you have to be able to prove the run, so make sure you have a ET slip. You dont have to post it, but if someone asks, you have to show it. Its the "NO BS" clause
