So my gym only has 100lb dumbells. I love doing dumbells for flat bench. Im not bragging by any means saying I can throw around the 100's so please dont think this is an ego post. But I had been in a slump with my chest so I did this 6 week routine where I have been doing chest 3 times a week just to get out of my hump and destroy my chest and make it realize who is boss. Anyways, I saw a pretty well built guy doing this one and i thought ill give it a shot. Holy fuck balls did this move set my chest on fire.--

I took a set of 45lb dumbells as a starting point just to see where I was at. Instead of doing them at the same time I raised them up and lowered one then up, then lowered the other. I think I used muscles I havent used before. 4 sets including the warm up. I made it to 75lbs and i was crying(might be the slim quick but who knows) Anyways thought I would share.

Each muscle group should really only be exercised once a week. The muscle needs to heal to grow.

Yes I understand that. I did this 6 week routine to get out of a slump. It actually worked. I went from only able to throw up the 100's 3 times to being able to do 3 sets of 10-12 with them. Ill go back my normal program this week.

interesting...muscle confusion and HIT training will help you get through the plateau...good job.
