Any of you guys ever grill veggies? IE peppers, and that kinda stuff. I want to start eating more veggies, but I want stuff I can cook on the BBQ. No dishes and tastes better. So any tips?

Yep, just had some last night. Portabella mushrooms, red peppers and corn on the cob :D

Medium heat and don't overcook them :D

And I have a tip for grilling corn on the cob.

Get it with the husks still on, soak them in cold water for an hour or more, then grill them. Turn them very often. The soaking will allow them to steam, and still grill. Making them cook evenly and not burn as easily.

We do corn on the cob a little different and it has a great taste as well.

Remove the husks
Lightly coat with butter
Sprinkle some kosher salt
Put foil on the grille
Grille the cobs for about 15 minutes

Just another alternative :D

Nothing like grilled veggies.

Take red peppers, green peppers, yellow peppers, yellow squash, zekeny(sp) and shrooms wrap in tin foil with olive oil, your favorite seasoning and grill away. I use salt, pepper, lenon pepper and a little zacherans(sp) seasoning mmm good.

The best veggies to grill IMO, are cucumber, brocolli, ZUCINNI!!!! and peppers!! I still have to buy a grill, but my parents grill these all the time. How much did you guys spend on grills? I saw a stainless grill at Target for 169.99 I might go look at it......

I'm not looking to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on one, because right now my Dad and I are wiring, insulating and drywalling my garage!!! I want a garage like what you see on TV, and I'm gonna get it!!! :D

i'm vegetarian from association (my wife and daughter are both so i'm a single man eating meat) here is my rec's

Portabella = skin the dark off if you like , marinate in "mojo" from world harbor for at least an hour or two, cook upside down to start so the marinade doesn't all dump out, eat it like a steak o makea sandwich

asparagus = put it in a small casserole dish, then take a small cup and minch fresh about 6 cloves of fresh garlic in it, put a stick of butter in their and melt it all together, brush the asparagus w/ it and then grill it , brush what is left if you have any, and make sure the garlic ends up on the asparagus

yellow squash and zuch's = same thing as asparagus or just use some "veggie grill" from mccormick

i grill tomatoes all by themselves , same with onions, i slice them up and grill them for burgers

i have griled radishes w/ the veggiei grill

pears are good if you eat brie, or want it for a sandwich, it adds sweetness to your sandwich

grill the panini bread or roll or hoagie or wahtever you use, use a very sharp cheese, like irish cheddar or fontanella

w/ anything you use on your sandwich, the fontanella and grilled sliced pear make a great combo to accent each other

you can mild grill some sage and that adds too.

all i can think of right now......i'll add later if i can think of more

using that garlic butter you can't pass on some shrimp though...put a few on a skewer devained and headed, butterfly them grill both sides for about 0 seconds......

now i'm hungry

lol, that was "30" seconds not zero...the rest of typos are explanatory

and btw...as far as grills go

i'm 36 this year and have NEVER cooked on gas yet

i have a smoker type grill, like a half barrel, i use hardwood charcoal only,no briquets

stuff like lazzari, the lump wood , burns hotter and longer as a bonus to the great taste
