This is another rant about selling stuff via the internet.

For as much as we hear about rip offs and scams, why dont people return emails. This guy contacts me about some gaskets, I quote him the price plus shipping, how I will ship, and ask him to email me if this is acceptable and when he mailed payment so I can watch out for it. Nothing, no return email at all. I have to assume he's not interested, thats fine, its happen before. Five days later the MO shows up in my mail box. I ship the same day, email him a tracking # and insurance #, and ask for him to let me know that all has arrived saftely and that he is satisfied. No response, nothing. Its just plain rude and inconsiderate. As the seller, if my responses were like this guys, people would be callin me all sorts of names. Very few people know about common courtesy anymore. :rant:

I know what you mean. I t takes 2 seconds to return emails. I'm going thru the same thing. Aguy says he wants it and is going to email payment I give him my adress and now I don't hear anything! I think it has to do with people trying to find crap cheaper to save 5 cents. If you were to sell it I bet he would've been pissed!! I hate dealing with dumbass people! :mad:

I got a long email from one guy, who wanted to thank me for doing business the "right way", because I explained everything upfront, and then followed thru with the transaction as I said I would. It was like he was amazed that someone would actually do as the said they would. That doesnt say much for the rest of the people out there..

Guy sounds like a tool! I tell people I won't hold parts unless a deposit if left. I also won't hold a part for 3 months. I'll tell them they have a certain amount of time to pick up part/car and then their deposit is lost. I'm not a storage facitity! I held a car for almost 2 months and the guy couldn't figure out why he didn't get his money back!! People think it's a game I guess! I've had people who have had people call me for parts because I was up front about the parts and actually contacted when I said was! People are amazed when you take just a little time to call/email them back. :)

Actually I know a few of those guys... I don't post on there though.. Most of them are cool. Not the ricer types, just guys into fast cars like we all are. I don't have any problem with them. In fact i give a lot of respect to those guys for the hard work they put into their cars.
