Has anyone else watched these shows?

I HATE so called 'reality' TV shows, but this one is great to watch. It is so great seeing these every day people sick of being overweight and risking their lives to make such turn arounds!

Not to mention the show is a real motivator for any workout

The show is a joke. It promotes extreme conditions and results. Those contestants are isolated from the rest f the world, they put their entire lives and careers on hold, get their asses kicked 24 hours a day by these trainers, and have professionals cooking perfect foods for them. I don't wantch it because it's not realistic. Reality show, my fucking ass!

I dont think its a joke. I thinks it cool and it shows people that it can be done. It might take aliuttle longer but someone can lose the weight.

How is is it a joke? Under those extreme conditions of eating right and busting your ass you would have to try NOT to lose weight and get healthier. Part of the show is how they take what they learn home for a set amount of time and they see how they have progressed.

It teaches them the tools they need to carry to their everyday lives to maintain the lifestyle.

Some of these people are adding many years to their lives, not to mention being there for their children.

I see it as realistic because they are real people doing REAL things and getting REAL results - nothing else like it on TV IMO

I just really dislike it. The show gives people false hope. NO ONE can accomplish those goals and still maintain their normal lives!

NO ONE can accomplish those goals and still maintain their normal lives! While that is extreme under normal conditions, it does show people that the multi-milliion dollar 'get thin quick' market is full of BS. There is no magic pill, it always comes down to hard work - exercise and better eating habits.
