So I'm looking at getting back to weight training, but when I used to train, I trained to bulk up.. I worked out 5 days a week for an hour a day... I went from being a chunk to being quite muscular. Yet, still weighed 230lbs.. I'd like to drop a good 20-30lbs but keep my strength... Any suggestions? I've considered a combination of some atkins being I eat a LOT of carbs (breads & potatos) so cutting back on those should help and changing my weight lifting a bit. Any suggestions? And honestly, the biggest reason I want to do this -is to shave weight out of my car. hahahahaha

don't cut carbs out, but alter the times u eat them, eat carbs in the morning, then cut them out after noon. if you work out in afternoon, eat a few carbs before working out. when working out do sets of 4 12-15 reps, less down time between sets.

more cardio

Thats not a bad idea - because when I eat breakfast its typically some waffles and sausage and that keeps me going all day until dinner --- when its lots of potatoes or bread.....Thats probably what is doing it right there...

Eat smaller portions, more often. Eating twice a day is terrible for you.

What do you recommend for small portion foods? I've tried it today.. Had a waffle this morning w/ milk, *a* taco for lunch (pretty much meat, lettuce, and a shell), and thats it so far...

try eating a good breakfast, eggs, ham, bread. then midway between breakfast and lunch, eat a lowfat yogart. lunch have some meat with very little bread, mainly chicken. afternoon snack, rabit food, that means your vegies. then dinner stick to lowfat meat, maybe a cup of brown rice with it.
