View Full Version : Sport Block dumbells
I am looking to upgrade my dumbbells to the 20-60 pound Sport Block dumbells and conserve some space - can anyone recommend a place either locally or online for a good price?
Retail from http://sportblock.com/ is $369 + $69 shipping
I have the smaller 3-21 pound set and they are a nice product
Also, any other quality alternitives out there?
Thanks :D

Those look really cool!
Has anyone used these by Ironmaster?
They go up to 120# each and the stand is included. I'm headed to TGM on Mound road next week to check them out in person. From what I'm reading online today, they have that solid feel of actual dumbbells, no clanking that I hear with the sport block set. They are cheaper and guaranteed for life.
With the 30 day refund, I probably can't go wrong.

From what I have read on both, I'd say that these are a much better buy than the Sportblock DB's.

Same here. I'll probably pick them up when I see them in person, saves $69 shipping as well :D
I need to start working out at home, its getting tougher to hike across town to hit the gym. I just bought a nice doorway chin up bar on eBay.

wow with the add on, those cost $600...kinda steep if you ask me.

Compared to what? The Ironmaster set seems to be the best bet for the $$ from what I've seen in adjustable dumbbells.
If you are limited for space or don't want a big rack of dumbbells, it isn't bad at all :D
I finally went and picked up the Iron Master set from TGM fitness today, now to unpack and assemble

What are your thoughts on the Iron Master set?
So far, I find them to be much better to use than the Sport Block.
What others did you try out?

He already bought them.
Yep. I've had them for a few weeks now. For my limited space application they work great and feel like real 'fixed' dumbbells :D
I'd be interested in what you thought of each brand you tried, that might make a good thread here for others that may be looking :D
