What do you guys think about a paint job like this? Like a translucent, or "ghost" silver flame job? Too trendy? Not a fan? Leave it the way it is? Opinions? And don't ask me to paint it pink...I couldn't find a shade that I really liked.

I like it . I want to do a pearl white ghost flame on my car after I get it painted yellow .

I'm usually not a big fan of flames, but that pic makes them look really good. It goes with the car as a whole and isn't too in your face.

Chartreuse or Magenta suits your eyes better, no pink :D

I know of a couple of guys that do that. One has been doing it for over 20 years...oldtimer....has done many of the AutoRama cars. I can get you his name.

I was considering a ghost flame for awhile....if your current paint job needs no work, a ghost flame paint job will run $1500 - $2,000 easily.

I'm not a big fan of flames on black or newer cars. IMO, a black car like that looks classy and mean...so why ruin it? Flames on a newer style car like that would just make it a trendy, white trash, attention getter.

But hey, who cares what people think anyways though...do what you like.

I'm with Lisa... yes it looks OK now, but in 5 years it'll just look outdated. I'd leave it alone. The car looks good and clean, why mess it up?

I wouldn't go so far as to label it white trash, unless it was something rediculous like chromalusion'd Louis Vuitton flames

Anyone else notice Al's posts are labeled "serious"? Since when is Al serious?

I like it a lot. But your car looks so good the way it is. It might look better on a different color car!

on a dark blue (like saleenjames's car) or red or something along those lines it would look really bad ass..also i wouldnt have them going down the whole side of the car either..i think this looks really good..not to flashy but noticable..

Hmmm....it's a purse on wheels.

But seriously though....maybe that was going to far, but that's what it reminds me of really. :dunno:

See now I think that really looks sharp though. So, I guess it depends.
