So Paul and I went to Houghton/Higgin's Lake area this weekend to look for a cottage.
We went to this restaurant and 1/2 the people there were in pajama's, and the other 1/2 had clothing that was way too small for their body. Before we got our food, we heard 2 people burp about 8 times! And by burp I'm talking Homer Simpson just downed a case of beer burp. :sick: Then they were talking about meet up at the usual Friday night hangout, Walmart. :rofl: Someone also commented on my purse saying "I think Shania Twain has one of them." :lol:
We went to the Daily Queen and everyone was staring at our car. The woman said to her husband "What kind of car is that? He said "I don't know, that must be one of them fancy four door sports sedans!"
Too funny...just thought I'd share. :lol:

It is a whole different world up there, but it's a blast.

Yeah it's a lot of fun! :cool: Plus, it can be quiet one weekend and one big party the next....which gives for a nice variety. It's just funny how some of the locals act. Anyways, we found a nice cottage we both really like that's a few houses off the lake so we're making an offer. :)

The first weekend of August is the bud-bash. It is so much fun, think of Jobbie-nooner but with a smaller crowd that never fights.

That's what is so fun about going to places like that, especially when you bring a loud & fast car or a bunch of motorcycles, the locals go nuts.
