It's a nice set up. What system is that? Edelbrock or other?

Most of the components will come from a company call MASS-Flo, but since no one does this for a BB Olds, I'll have to set up the manifold myself(New Edelbrock Victor) by milling and welding the injector bungs onto the runners. From there it will require custom fuel rails, and them most of the components from MASS-Flo. Wiring is actually Ford EEC with a modified TFI distributor to fit the Olds, a modified C+L LS1 Maf, 36-42lb injectors, and a Speedbrain programable computer.

I thought speedbrain went out of business? You gonna use the one out of the Mustang?

BTW  cool as hell

You can still find then online, and since they work, I'll just pick up a second. There's even a couple of companies offering similar boxes to the Speedbrain, APE(not the local guys) was just ahead of its time. You can actually run this system off of a A9L if you dont want to tune it. The major difference is that it mounts the MAF on top of the TB, so you dont have to route a bunch of 4 inch hose through the engine compartment, and can cover it with a standard carberator style air cleaner. That means I can still use my functional RamAir(OAI) hood.

Nice how much did that run you? I'm going to do EFI for my Cutlass in the future.

By the time its all said and done, Im sure it will be over $2500, but thats for a whole return style fuel system, baffled tank, new manifold, etc. Non of this stuff is made for the Olds motor, so there is quite a bit of machining and fabrication, but since all the sensors and wiring are either ford or GM, it makes it alot easier to assemble. The 2 hardest parts will be machining the Ford distributor to fit the Olds(really not that hard), and machining and welding the manifold for the fuel injectors, from there, its all bolt on or plugin.

Easy fuel injection for an Olds can be done using a TBI set up, either aftermarket(Holley) or GM. Should be able to do a TBI for less than a grand, it just wont have the hi horsepower ability(600+)

I was going to go with the Olds EFI intake that they used on the Caddies in the mid to lat 70s. I was going to use LS1 injectors with a MegaSquirt computer and a 80 computer controlled distributer, or just use a normal HEI if I can't the CCC distributer to work

I havent heard of anyone having any success with the Seville intake yet, at least as far as any kind of performance. The thing with speed density is its inability to adapt to changes in the combination without lots of programming time. The Ford Maf system has proven itself adaptable and capable of handling upwards of 600hp. Plus the TFI distributor is so close in size to the Olds, its the proper rotation, just turn the housing down a little and shorten the shaft, install the Olds gear, and you have computer controlled timing. It even has the correct hex drive for the oil pump.

I was just planning on using it for a daily driver (give or take, I'll probably still drive my 442 at least 6 days a week everywhere except during the winter) I think it would make for a great street intake and its already set up for EFI, I was just going to put in a mild cam, good compression, a overdrive trans and good rear gears, by the way this is for my 85 Cutlass

Do you have the intake yet. Does it accept a modern injector, whats it use for a fuel rail, Ive never seen one, so I dont know. For a driver, how about a holley commander. Ive seen some used ones on ebay for around 5-600. Im lookin at a 85 442, and I was thinkin of just leavin the 307, putting a commander or Holley TBI setup. That would give me all the cold start driveabilty, and still hook to the TV cable on the 200r4

From what I understand LS1 injectors fit with a little work and they use a TBI with the injecters and other junk removed and use it as a throttle body. Here's a site where the guy did the swap http://www.grimers.com/vehicles/olds/403efi/index.html
