I just bought this house out in the country and NO ONE has high speed internet here . There is no cable company and everyone I have called or looked into online says that they dont offer dsl out here . I'm usind dial up right now with a 26kbps transfer rate . please help or I will shoot myself :mad:

Some cell phone companies like Sprint have it on their phones. You can get a data cable and plug it into your computer and use it for your internet connection.

you probably can get satellite high speed, its not cheap but in the middle of nowhere you dont have many options, move or pay lol

I have satellite service through Earthlink. Check http://www.earthlink.net/satellite or http://www.direcway.com or http://www.starband.com

I'm going w/ Comcast. It's the only company that has a high-speed connection. Dial-up sucks! I'd say you're gonna have to go with the satellite.

Comcast is what we have also, I can't stand dial-up.

Gonna package it with the phone and cable service. I figure it'll ave me $50 a month!:eek:

verizon does dsl out here :D so I'll beordering that . the satellite deal is 80 bucks a month . screw that . Thanks for the help ;)

You may be able to get a pavkage deal if you go thr Verizon for home phone& dsl-just a thought.
