Took the Cobra out last night for a bit...I'll say it again, damn this car pulls like a mofo with this new power. I can only get traction in 3rd gear right now and it pulls like a freight train. Cobrafreak was with me and said at 5 grand it just nails you to the seat. Just went down Hall Rd. then Gratiot to top of the tank. Saw another Cobra out there...sounded good...but when I hit it at 40mph and just lit the tires up he backed off...haha. God it felt good to get the Cobra out.
Especially after trading in the Pacifica Friday afternoon for a Town and Country minivan for the wife. Got out of my lease 9 months early and they paid it off plus came down on price after figuring in the employee discount (dad). Repeat customer with the guy and he knew I was going to walk unless I left there with the price I wanted.
Anyway....

We went out around 8:00PM. Down Hall Rd to Gratiot then to Harrington to fill up...then back down Gratiot to Hall. I live right off of Heindenrich and Hall Rd.
Thinking about going out in the next hour or so for a little cruise. Sun is out and mid 40's again.
Cool! And nothing like having a brand new ride. We just got a fully loaded 2006 Volvo S60 on Tuesday....I've been driving that thing around like crazy.

Oh, so that white powdery stuff on my tailgate and wheels must be cocaine that's been spread on MI roads. I knew I shouldn't have washed that shit off my truck every other day.

Al...STFU. There isn't/wasn't any salt anywhere on the fuckin road.
No wonder you never drove the Cobra when you had it....by your calculations it would have been August before the roads were safe to drive.
Took it out again yesterday afternoon along with SaleenOutlaw and CobraFreak. It was 50 degrees yesterday...hell, it was warm enough where the tires would hook in second gear if I was careful. I don't think they put down salt on the road in over 3.5 weeks anyways...plus it's rained since then and washed it away. There were a few cars out yesterday but no one was wanting to play. Time to wipe the car down and put the cover on....I'm sure the bad weather is right around the corner.

Right...there's no salt on the roads now. If you believe that then you're dumber than you look. I hope you enjoy knowing that that salt is eating away at your Cobra right now. HAHA!!

Al...I'm done with ya. Have fun with your audio equipment in your new family ride. I never met someone in my life that was so proud of the fact that they used to wipe their car down 3 times a day and never drive it. And then gave advice to everyone about their ride even though he had a basic bolt on Cobra with Saleen wheels and some tint on the window. Wow....
Grow up.
The whole point of the post was it was a nice day and I was glad to have the car out for awhile...everyone else posted something positive about how nice the weather was and what they did....except you. Hmmmm. Next time I need advice from you I'll let you know.

You go ahead and tell yourself whatever you need to to justify taking your beloved car out on salty roads. I pulled a premium price on that car when I sold because of how well it was taken car of. But you go ahead and keep pooring money into your new salt bucket that will never see good times because you can't drive to save your fucking life. Fuckin pathetic prick. You wanna poor money into making that car run faster??? Pay someone to drive it...on roads that aren't covered in salt. Idiot.
And please, tell us again about how amazing your car pulls with this new power. Please also tell us about all the bone stock cars you try playing with on the road. Really, it's getting old.
And to be perfectly honest, I'm glad I sold my Cobra. I like my new daily driver. I sold the Cobra and am moving on with my life because I didn't need to keep it to compensate for other departments I might be lacking in...unlike some people...
Bye Bye, Chuckie.

For what? Why did I need a time slip to tell me how slow my car was? Like I said, to me, it didn't matter one bit. Like I said, I didn't have anything to prove. :D

I don't have to spend a load of money, it's just the mere fact of not having a ton of extra time to get the work done. Working 11-13 hours a night doesn't help matters much.

Funny thing Al...you always say what a stand up guy you are. I've helped you in the past and now you insult me. Fuck you buddy.
I know how to drive just fine...you on the other hand told everyone how much power your car had because the last owner said so....and how fast it was because the last owner said so. Who you trying to impress? At least I have my own times on my own car.
Racing bone-stock cars? WTF dude...you just make up this shit as you go along? I've raced turbo'd cars, c6 with heads/cams and on and on. Whatever....you wouldn't have a clue as your car had 3 FUCKING GAUGES for a bolt on Cobra. Every time I asked you about the nitrous you said the silenoid wasn't working. Fucking ricer.
I'm out.

Hey Al, wash, wax, fluff, repeat, looks like you'll be doing alot of that for now on. What are you gonna do if you have to take it over a mud puddle? Call a flat bed to lift you over? Need Bubba's #? :chevy:
As for Chuck, keep working on it and it will come around. At least your willing to work on your own shit, but if you need help on the axle you know where to go.

They're on a 351w. They used to be my old heads. Had them ported at Advanced AirFlow (Ron Sharp). Car ran 11:50's on the motor all day. I think he's gonna sell them w/ the pushrods but don't know if he still has the rockers.
