so yeah.. ur wondering why the taurus driver puts up a topic like that..

well, im thinking about getting one, for what u say. well, for my taurus. i want to put a mustang front bumper on my taurus. ive been told the 99-04 front bumper works with a new bumper core and a lil side glassing. so i was thinking a saleen style front bumper. what would yall think? this would be after i get some rims, so dont cringe at the thought. anyone have a 99+ bumper for me to take measurements of?

Oooh have you seen this done before?
I'm not sayin one way or another, but that might not look so hot on an otherwise round car...
Or is 95 still the more square one?
Photochop one onto your car first..... then post for me to evaluate..lol

Im with Chris, sorta need to get an idea of what it might look like. It could turn out really nice, or it could look like :turd:

there is a 92-95 sho with the mustang ricer bodykit. it fits just needs the core support and a lil area where the fender meets up. ill see if i can find a pic of it done. the kit they used is a bit big, so i wouldnt use one like it, but a different one.

Seriously, If that is anything like what you want to do to your car, i would say forget it...

The front is'nt too bad. If you do it, try to find somthing less rice....PPPPPlease :)
i think if you found the right kit it might look ok... IMO

I seen those pics a LONG time ago when my brother showed me. The front is alright, but look at the HUGE gap between the tire and the wheel well!! Also there are NO side skirts to it looks retarted. Wonder if that guy finnished that car up or if it was done then?

well, i was thinkin the saleen style front bumper, and just the front bumper. its not that im tryin to make my car become a mustang. its that there are really no bodykits for my car. and well, this would be definatly different. i was thinkin maybe just a simple gt front bumper. or a gt with a lip. something so its not that low. and the wheel well area can be fixed also.

Hmm...I think would look too out of place on a Taurus (too chunky looking). Being different is good...but I don't think putting Mustang parts on a Taurus is the way to go.

Just my honest opinion. :dunno:

there's probably reasons why there isnt any body kits for your car..maybe because its a taurus?? lol but seriously i dont think that looks to hot. and remember. different isnt always better..different can look REALLY REALLY bad..lol

Yeah I'm guessing it would be harder than you think. Remember: it's the little things that end up costing $$$$. Make sure you've reserched it out before you do it. Are you installing it yourself? If not you're looking at serious money to install, paint and align. I'm sure there's at least some custom work involved. Make sure it's the look that you are going after. Don't want to have redo it! Good luck! :bna: :bna:

especially if you have no experience doing this sort of stuff..it would really suck to try and get it on and not succeed and waste hundreds of dollars on the kit..

Out of all the cars i've owned and modded in my life, I don't think a body kit ever crossed my mind

Don't do it... The SHO's had some good lines from the factory...why screw them up? Spend that $ on a nitrous kit or something.

well, mine isnt an SHO, its an se, which in itself is nice since it was only offered in 95 for the body type. i have the 3.0L ohv vulcan. 140 crazy ponies running with no curve. its slow, i know its slow, its knows its slow. and im not sure if i feel like making it fast. either way, its getting $1000 spent on it in the next month or so.

struts/ springs
fuel pump
coolant hoses
welded exhaust... anyone here weld??????
fully attaching my STBs
subframe connectors?
sho rear bumper?
doin a custom grille
adding 2 sets of lights
taking out intake silencer
installing sho gauges w/ glo
installing front speakers
installing tweeters and amps
buying big amp and wiring for sub
painting interior trim
adding strobes
glow pedals?

what else can i add?
