im beginning to get back into doing my model cars. i picked up again on a 98 extreme reg cab reg bed model i have. i started it a few yrs back. had it almost done, but never fully finished, changed my mind on how i wanted it to look. took it all aprt, sanded down body (still workin on it). molded in tailgate, taillights, 3rd brake light, door handles, and shaving wiper cowl. im not sure if i want to put on the xtreme bodykit. i was just goin to use the front bumper and make a custom rollpan. if i use the extreme bodykit im goin to mold it all in. tonight i cut throufh the bed so i can fit some super huge tires. in real life it would prolly be a 315/55/20 on the back and a 255/55/18 on front. which is pretty crazy. im goin to C-notch the rear and do a full suspension drop on it. the front im goin to cut out the front inner fenders to clear the tires better. the interior im redoing also. makin it an mtx with buckets. im trying to decided which motor i wanna use on it. and wether or not i wanna use my c-5 vetter rims, camaro z28 rims, or what i have now which is a 5 spoke hotrod look. the paint is undecided, i was thinking of doing it in blue paint and then in certain spots make it grey primer.. like a car in progress right after having a shave and mold job done. im also contemplating on which motor to install. i might just use the stock 4.3L vortec supplied in the kit. i dont have anything else on hand except for a hemi or maybe a 350 out of a 65 impala. then its getting exhaust work, fake sterio, n2o, and fire extinguisher.
so yeah.. anyone else have a model car? this isnt my first. but i havent fully completed many. i never take the final step, i dunno why.
i also have another s10 square body. teal with grey interior, convertable with some other lil things. i won the overall junior class like 5 yrs ago with it. which is pretty cool cause it was only my 2nd car. my 1st is awefull looking and am now transforming it into a destruction derby car. i might even do some dents and stuff onto it.

out of like 13 models ive done. only 2 were ever fully assembled. and those 2 are a bit broken and i have to reglue. i have a bunch to finish. maybe after my surgery when im home and bored and on meds. nothing like being on vicodine and high from spraypaint and modeling glue :)

I get 3 or 4 and mix the parts, making it to my liking... get it all done and lookin sweet, then i start another one and steal parts off the last one.. Its been maybe 7-8 years since i've done one..i had to stop...the glue was gettin to me :ripped: :bounce:

i wish i had the reasorces to do to my car what i do to my models, but then of course it wouldnt be fully assembled. im tryin to decided how i want to do my s10. not sure if i want a finished show truck look. or a "in construction" look. like have most of body painted, then some areas with primer spots as if the guy just shaved and molded everything.
or i was thinkin black primer with like blue primer flames?
