The cheif of police quit wednesday evening, the officers did not like him and were not writing tickets. Well now that he is gone it's a free for all, so be carfull they will write tickets for any reason now.

I have a friend that's a cop in the Clem...along with his dad. I'll have to see what is going to be the new law now that he quit. Although, they signed a contract to have the Sheriff's Department handle their dispatch starting in June I believe. This was an indication that the city did indeed plan to eliminate the police force at some point.
We shall see.
So this means I can't go speeding through the Clem anymore w/o my radar detector. :mad: :D

I had no fears going through the Clem. My cop buddy told me that no one would pull me over unless I did something REALLY stupid. That may still be the case if they all think they are loosing their jobs.
I also knew a few of those cops that beat the piss out of that punk ass kid not so long ago. One of them lived 3 doors down from my wifes parents. :chair:

I went to highschool with one of the guys that got busted for beating the crap outta that guy. I'm sure everybodys REALLY happy with the city tax Mt. Clemens resident and those that work there are gonna have to pay! Glad I got the hell outta there! BTW Mt. Clemens High grad ('93)

I think you graduated with my wife....she was either 92 or 93.
She graduated the same year as me....and right now I can't even remember when I graduated. :confused:

Yea, read that in the paper this morning, had a picture of 2 cops re-certifying a radar unit.

I talked to my buddy and his dad, both Mt. Clemens cops.....they both said it's back to work.
