Have you ever noticed all the morons out there on other (I'm being nice here :P ) car threads? My personal favorite are these little high school kids or college freshman that have a Mustang or Camaro and know EVERYTHING about everything. They go off giving stupid advice and/or ripping into other people for asking questions. It's fucking hilarious. They have like 17,000 posts and think they are king of the Internet.

Anyway, that's my observation for the day. :bounce:

Dude, did I offend you when I told you that you could pick up 35 hp with the turbonator?????
I love the threads where people ask how to do a burnout.....lol

Dude, I HAVE the turbonator.

lol...ya, "my car smoked for like 1/2 a mile my burnout was so good...it was weird though cause I didn't see any smoke coming from my wheels at first"...."Um, dude, you smoked your clutch".

Its mostly because there is so much recycled knowledge on car boards. If it said 30 times then obviously it must be true. Its sometimes hard to distinguish between advice from someone who read about a subject, and someone who has actual experience.

Thats why its better just to use your own judgement, and experiment for yourself.

The world has always been full of know it all wannabe car guys, now its possible for them to beam their crap around the world instead of just their neighborhood. And the other side is that some people just enjoy being tools. I try to re-teach my nephew and his friends because of all the bullshit theyve heard from the "car guy" in their neighborhood.

I have many unanswered questions about cars. But I'm not out asking stupid questions on how to do a burnout and such. Its those type of "kids" that makes people like me look bad from time to time. I hope you guys dont think that way of me being one of the "younger" generation here!!!

No question is stupid, if you dont know something, ask. Put a post in the shop section.
This is how you learn, ask questions, and read. Most of your good aftermarket companies have Tech pages available, thats a great place to learn how certain things work.
If someone flames you for a question, tell them to :fu:

I read one of those the other day on the Mach1 registry, that place is pretty full of clueless mod motor guys. I frequently check in over there for a good laugh.

So THATS how you do a burnout!! :bna: Wish my car was able to do that, which I'm sure it would if it was RWD instead of FWD.....

And I will take your advice and tell them to :fu: if they flame me!

My favorite was a Mustang guy that said he put on the emergency brake and then revved it up and dumped the clutch. Classic.

Last I checked all Mustangs were RWD.

I once heard a guy with a stock Mustang ask "Do I have to drive out all the regular gas before I can put in premium?" They told him he had to go to the dealership to get a "fuel flush".

So? I've paid for a fuel flush before.

I personally love the guys that talk like they've been there and done it all. Then when you ask them to help you you find out they don't know shit. I know a few of them myself. There is quite a few that I know. Even a guy I know who had ahis car built by a friend, won't drive his own car, but then talks all kind of shit! Anyone else deal with these kind of idiots!
