Yesterday I decided to go to Casino Windsor. I'm in a long line waiting to pay to get into the tunnel and all of a sudden 3 workers start beating on the car and screaming "stop..pull over!" I'm thinking wtf, did I run over his foot or something? I'm still on the Detroit side and I haven't even entered the tunnel yet!? Or maybe a chick in a Lincoln is a suspected terrorist!?

So..I pull over and he rips the keys right out of my hand and pulls me out of the car. He's screaming at me questions like why am I by myself, etc. I answer very nice and politely and he's still screaming at me. Then he starts beating the crap out of the Lincon...slamming doors, ripping stuff apart, etc. If that's not bad enough....their drug dog starts scratching the paint on the door, pawing up the leather interior, etc.

Me: "Can you please watch the paint?"
Him: "Shut up!"
Me: "Watch the paint then!"
Him: "Shut up"
(We go back and forth like this till another guy finally comes over and tells him to cool it and I'm free to go).

I mean I understand why they are doing that, but he didn't have to be like that to me or the car. I was very nice, polite, and cooperative till he started trashing the car. Some people take their jobs to their heads. Now I need a beater car to go to the casino...wtf!?

Anyways...just ranting. :cuss:

Lol! The other people getting searched looked shady. One guy starts saying "damn dude...they won't find anything man..the dogs are like totally strung out." I'm like no...I do not fit into this category.

Canada was cool though...they didn't ask for anything.

Sueing isn't even an option.
That is horrible. It's not even worth going over to Canada these days.

Hopefully there's no damage to the vehicle.

Why not?? She didn't do anything to provoke them?? She was nice until they messed the car up. They shouldn't be able to destroy your new car just because you look suspicious.

They have way too much authority/power these days. If they think that you may be/about to do something illegal, they can pull your car over, strip search you and tear the car apart. After they find nothing, the can leave the interior of your car in pieces on the curb and let you put it back together.

At my last job I was going to Canada to do a seminar and they asked if I had anything to declare and I said no. They pulled me over and I had a few samples and literature with me. For some reason they thought that a CD I had was linked to a $15,000 item on one of the price sheets. They held me and my associate in seperate rooms for 6 hours while I waited for a detective to come down from London, ON. After another 1.5 hours they finally figured out they were wrong, fined me $130 in unreported something, and I was on my way.

Never in my life had I been so pissed.
Slightly different circumstance, but the point is they can do what they want.

Yeah they can pretty much do anything they want. Chuck that's crazy.

Well, the car is fine minus a few scratches that can be buffed out, dirty paw prints, and dog hair inside the car...ack!

They used to do the same to thing when me and a bunch of my underage friends used to cross with our $30,000+ cars back in the day.

Before 9/11 I was going over to Canada and it was in the middle of November and I was pulled into customs. They asked me if I would consent to a vehicle search and of course I said sure, well I forgot that I had a bunch of fireworks in the trunk. I thought for sure I was going to jail, but all I got was a lecture and sent back across. It's amazing the stories that I hear since 9/11.

There is a new pass available to speed border crossings. Sueing the government is a waste of time, they print their own money, they cant loose, but you can report the ass to his superior, maybe get him put on checking smugglers shit for dope.

I remember seeing something about that on the news. It's on the canadian website and it's good for 5 years
