WTF is wrong with people?

My brother has a house for sale out in the Dexter/Pinkney area. He was just there last weekend(18-19th). The realestate agent showed the house during the week before Christmas. The realestate agent showed the house this morning, turns out that someone shut off the furnace last week during the showing, the pipes froze and burst, now the house(freshly remodeled) is a fucking mess. What the hell is wrong with people, you know exactly whats gonna happen if you shut off the furnace this time of year. Thousands of dollars worth of damage to walls, new floors, carpet.
