We were on our way out to gratiot yesterday to park at the lot..and as he turned to corner his car kinda sputtered and then just completely shut off. I could not get it to turn over..it would crank..but never turn. His odometer was reading "- - - - - -" I disconnected the pcm..pulled his chip...did the battery disconnect and still nothing. We finally get a code off of it..and its a P1633. Which comes out to be a "Keep Alive Memory power voltage too low"   I have no idea what that is..im thinking its something with the PCM or electrical...any ideas on where to look though? Its a 2000 Mustang Saleen.

Sounds like a dead battery caused by a dead altinator. Just a guess though.

Not yet. The battery is new and volt meter shows 14+ amps...when it does fire up.

That sucks. Hope you find out what's wrong w/ it. I'll try to find some info on it too.

Actually, Cory talked to Rob the other day and Rob thinks he knows what's wrong. Here's what Cory said about this over on MM...

Robs already found out that it is blowing a fuse everytime the car gets up in R's. Somethign to do with his harness...once we get time..im gonna pull his harness out and take a look at it. He said a couple yrs ago..his tire rubbed the harnes..and strayed some of the wires which he fixed. Im gonna solder it all and hopefully that'll take care of it

Yeah seeing that all those wires run through that front left tire well, they need to be soldered and hidden away so that nothing can effect them...it's like a rats' nest under there.
